David Robinson
David Robinson has been a freelance writer and illustrator since leaving school in 1966 and a fan of humorous illustration for even longer. His own art and writing has appeared both locally and nationally. In 1978 he helped to launch the Association of Comics Enthusiasts, which produced the British Comics Encyclopaedia. Robinson is also the author of 25 Years of British MAD, based on the still-running American humour magazine, for whose British version David has written and drawn parodies of deserving British TV offerings. Now in retirement, he still keeps his hand in with articles in the nostalgia magazine press. David lives with his wife in Peterborough and has grown-up daughters in Oxfordshire and Leeds, plus two scrumptious grandchildren, none of whom the couple see nearly enough.
